Argentina continue to keep making life hard for themselves, yet scrape through each time. They are either showing the hall marks of eventual winners, or clearly exposing their weaknesses ready for a team to fully exploit them.

Argentina have the cleanest route to the semi final with expected opponents Cape Verde > Egypt > Colombia
Question marks over both Brazil and England, leaves Mexico with a great opportunity to get to at least the QF by leveraging home / host status.
Spain have drifted a lot since the start of the tournament but in reality Portugal are the only real side preventing them getting to the QFs and beyond.
Germany, Netherlands and France all sit in the one bracket and although France are clearly the strongest, cases can be made for all three and for now, we’ll watch how that side of the draw plays out.
