Superliga Argentina: Week 2
We’re back with week 2 of the Argentina Liga Professional de Football.
Gimnasia La Plata vs Patronato
This match is probably the easiest match of the week to predict, Gimnasia and Patronato have played each other less than a month ago in the Copa de la Liga at Patronato’s home pitch, the result was a huge 6-0 win for Gimnasia.
For this reason we think that there is not much more to say, the most likely outcome is that Gimnasia will win again, although this time it might be a little more disputed as Patronato will be defending for the whole ninety minutes.
Patronato vs Velez Sarsfield
Velez has had an irregular first half of the year, with more negative than positive performances, which was not at all up to expectations. For this reason the management has taken the decision to hire a new coach, who arrived at the club less than a week ago, so we do not know very well what to expect from this match.
However, on the other side we have Patronato, who have proved to be the weakest team in the championship, the team that has scored the most goals so far this year, so we can expect a resounding victory for Velez.

Central Cordoba vs Boca Juniors
Central Cordoba is a team that was considered very weak, but lately and with the help of their star player Renzo Lopez, they have managed to show a better image and get results that although they are not amazing, they are very good for this team, which has many limitations.

Godoy Cruz vs Racing Club

On the other hand Rosario, who came from being the big disappointment of the League Cup, losing most of the matches. Now they are adapting to the idea of their new coach, who changed many things in the team but still can not find a strategy and a starting eleven that meets their objectives.
It is a very difficult match to predict, but the two likely outcomes we see are firstly a Huracan win, and with a little less chance a boring draw.
Velez Sarsfield vs Platense
Velez is in a positive mood lately, since they changed their coach, the team is getting stronger with the help of their star player Lucas Janson, who is one of the best players not only in the team but also in the country.
This time they face the weak Platense, who have had a season with more negative than positive points, although they won their first league match against Godoy Cruz by 2-1, with the debut of their new star signing Mauro Zarate, who has played in big teams like Boca, Inter Milan, Lazio, among others.
Our prediction is a dominant win for Velez.
Sarmiento vs Argentinos Juniors
Argentinos ́ fans are saddened with the news that Avalos is most likely leaving to play in the Mexican league. The thing that could really cheer them up is to get a second win in the league to remain at the top spots.
Sarmiento is not a strong opponent; however, Argentinos has many starters out due to various injuries. It’ll be a close game but Argentinos is the favorite.
Argentinos Juniors vs Aldosivi
Argentinos is playing better and better every day, and has very good players that make the fans and the coaching staff happy, it has been a team that took a long time to develop but it seems that they have finally achieved it.
On the other side we have Aldosivi, a team that has had a great first half of the year, but due to a fight with the management (because they did not want to bring reinforcements to the team) their great coach Martin Palermo has resigned. This may cut short the great momentum that the team was going through but it will be a question of time to find out.
The most likely outcome is a win for Argentinos.
River Plate vs Atletico Tucuman
River started the league with an unsatisfactory tie against Defensa y Justicia, the game was pretty bad and the highlight was a minor fight between the two coaches.
This upcoming game represents the perfect chance for River to start adding 3 points at a time, as they’ll be facing the quite weak Atletico Tucuman. Although River will be missing some key players, we still believe they’ll win.
